Position Overview

This pivotal role encompasses overseeing and driving excellence within the Helix Core Engineering functions, focusing on AI Infrastructure Optimization, Data Orchestration, and Support Operations, which include DataOps and MLOps. The VP Helix Engineering will spearhead Go-to-Market strategies in these domains, providing strategic leadership to Directors and Senior Directors responsible for these critical areas. Though this position focuses on the broader application of AI across industries, this position also takes a lead in driving our efforts in the Government vertical with a focus on AI applications in military technologies. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise and visionary thought leadership to foster innovation, develop unique solutions, and deliver substantial value to our partners, customers, and the academic community.

 

This is a remote or hybrid opportunity preferably based near our corporate offices in Merrimack, NH, or Boston or New York metropolitan areas.

Regular travel is required with a routine frequency of 30%-50%.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Helix Core Engineering functions, setting strategic direction and ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the optimization of AI infrastructure and data orchestration processes, ensuring they are efficient, scalable, and aligned with the latest industry standards and practices.
  • Lead the Support Operations areas, including DataOps and MLOps, to facilitate seamless operational workflows and enhance the efficiency of our engineering functions.
  • Drive all Go-to-Market activities for the areas under your purview, collaborating with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure successful market penetration and customer adoption.
  • Design and deliver high-value consulting and advisory services related to AI infrastructure optimization, data orchestration, and support operations, enhancing our value proposition to clients.
  • Engage with partners, customers, and academia to develop and implement unique solutions, fostering strong relationships and collaborative opportunities.
  • Represent the team and the broader group in strategic engagements with partners and customers, acting as a key spokesperson and advocate for our technology and solutions.
  • Work closely with the industry solutions leadership to design and develop industry-specific capabilities within the core functions, ensuring our solutions meet the unique needs of our clients.
  • Bring deep expertise in the Government vertical, particularly in AI application in military technologies in order to engage with government clients to develop and deploy advanced solutions that meet their unique needs.
  • Act as a cultural leader within the group, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Directors and Senior Directors, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 to 20 years of solid leadership and technical experience in AI Infrastructure Optimization, Data Orchestration, DataOps, MLOps, or related fields.
  • Deep expertise in the Government vertical with a focus on AI applications in military technologies.
  • Willingness and ability to obtain federal clearances for working on sensitive government projects.
  • Proven track record of leading engineering functions, with a strong ability to motivate, mentor, and lead teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to drive teams towards innovative solutions.
  • Thought leadership in AI infrastructure, data orchestration, and support operations, with the ability to engage with external partners, customers, and academia.
  • Experience in Go-to-Market strategy development and execution.
  • Ability to represent the team and company in strategic engagements with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, partners, and customers.
  • Alignment with industry solutions leadership to develop specific capabilities that enhance our offerings.
