Job Purpose:

The Business Development Manager is responsible for managing, developing, and leading a team of Business Development Representatives (new sellers) to grow our dealerships in every aspect, including service, parts, truck sales, rental, and lease.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Honor Commitments:

    • Manage, Support, and Develop the Business Development Team, ensuring adherence to our commitments and fostering professional growth.

    • Provide oversight to Business Development Representatives (BDRs) throughout the Business Development Representative Program, facilitating their success and progression (Program length 1-1.5 Years).

    • Measure and validate completion of Representative objectives and approve objective incentive payouts.

  • Create Positive Experiences:

    • Conduct regular consultations with Business Development Representatives, cultivating a supportive and empowering work environment.

    • Offer constructive feedback and drive enhancements to the Business Development Representative program to elevate the overall employee experience.

  • Foster Lifelong Learning:

    • Ensure successful completion of training, rotational timelines and achievement of goals, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.

    • Collaborate with management to devise strategies that promote ongoing learning and advancement within the organization.

    • Supervise and Coach Representatives on client meetings.

  • Exhibit Pioneering Spirit:

    • Empower Business Development Executives (BDEs) to explore innovative approaches and initiatives.

    • Represent the company in meetings with key stakeholders, showcasing our commitment to innovation and progress.

    • Lead future Business Development Representative program improvements and implementation.

  • Demonstrate Good Stewardship:

    • Utilize CRM systems to streamline operations and optimize resource utilization.

    • Develop fair and effective incentive plans aligned with organizational goals and values.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred or equivalent three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Three years of a proven track record of developing talent.

  • Business Development experience is desirable.

  • Account management/customer service management skills.

  • Disciplined, with good organization and time management skills.

  • Intermediate experience with Google Drive and CRM preferred.

  • Dependable and reliable attendance required.

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Ability to Travel 30-60% of the time
