Leidos has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineer to work on the Human Health and Performance Contract (HHPC) at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas for an upcoming NASA exploration project. This role provides
critical systems engineering leadership as NASA continues to evolve systems for exploration missions including Gateway, lunar surface, Mars transit, and Mars surface missions. This position will support projects as a lead systems engineer by developing and integrating next generation technology, processes, and design into solutions that will enable astronauts and the program to safely execute missions beyond low earth orbit.
This position is located in Houston, Texas with the opportunity to work a flexible schedule 1-2 days per week remote.
The Systems Engineer will identify and manage system requirements, verification, and validation activity. This role will help define the system architecture and system interfaces, evaluate system characteristics and performance, lead integration efforts, participate in testing of work products, and support the lifecycle review process. Duties also include participation in design reviews, risk and opportunity management, and leveraging subject matter experts to execute technical strategy. The successful candidate will also routinely work with innovative technology, design, and processes developed internally by NASA and externally by leading technology companies, will perform trade studies, and execute down-select.
US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency and the ability to successfully obtain a Pubic Trust Security Clearance are required.

Pay Range:Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
