Support equipment safety, quality and performance improvement needs by being a responsive resource to troubleshooting calls during and after normal business hours.
Manage continuous improvement projects:
Clearly define projects to track that they are on schedule, documented and brought to completion.
Track and report metrics on projects
Conducts regular communication on projects and troubleshooting initiatives to the necessary parties.
Complete all required audits.
Develop and Implement strategies to streamline workflow, improve equipment performance and minimize down time.
Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance productivity, reduce waste and optimize resource utilization.
Investigate root causes of quality issues and implement corrective/preventative actions to drive continuous improvement.
Attend required meetings including but not limited to:
Monthly Department meetings in Offline, Flexo, QIT
Town Hall meetings
Enforce all plant policies and procedures and all plant and department safety rules, including food safety.
Participate in customer, supplier or vendor visits as requested.
Attend all required training as deemed necessary. (i.e Conflict Management, Personality/Generational Differences)
Create, audit and revise training processes and documentation as needed.
Other tasks as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in engineering.
Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant work experience in the packaging or printing industry.
Experience with Flexo printing or die cutting equipment a plus.
Possess strong communication skills and be familiar with computer concepts.
Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, equipment operation and material properties.
Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
