Additional Qualifications
· Must be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English; read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, problem solving techniques and conflict resolution skills.
· Must be able to write legibly to keep records and to correspond.
· Must have strong mathematical skill to add, subtract, multiply and divide and the ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
· Must be able to effectively communicate one-on-one and in small group situations.
· Requires matching proficiency, including the ability to color match.
· Must have ability to reason and address problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
· Must have manual dexterity sufficient to use a wide variety of standard lab equipment including a scale, ovens, viscometers and the ability to operate standard office equipment such as a computer, a calculator, telephone, fax, and photocopier.

Employees are required to wear mandatory PPE (8 to 12hrs per shift) which include:
- Safety glasses

- steel toe shoes/boots
- specific gloves when performing specific tasks
- face shield, or goggles, if required by work area or toxic materials
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and use foot/feet to operate machine. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds and frequently move more than 250 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job may include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Requires the use of safety equipment as dictated by the work area such as safety glasses and shoes, dust mask, hard hat, respirator, face shield, hearing protection, chemical suit, gloves, aprons, etc. Work is inside and the typical noise level is loud. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; and explosives. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
